Here’s how it works

Fact I: 3 out of 4 people in the train have a discount card (NS kortingskaart)
Fact II: A discount card allows you to offer 40% discount to up to 3 people traveling with you.

How to do it:

• You do not have an NS kortingskaart

Step 1: Buy a ticket to your destination with discount (“korting”)

Step 2: Go to the platform where your train is leaving from.

Step 3: Ask anyone “Do you have an NS kortingskaart? Would you mind telling the conductor that we’re traveling together?”

Tip: Best to travel with someone who’s getting off at the same stop as you but you can always ask someone else inside the train.
